18 July 2011 - DECIDE Annual Workshop

Decide workshopThe DECIDE annual workshop “The assessment of imaging biomarkers for the early and differential diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease” took place in Paris on July18th 2011 in colocation with ICAD 2011 (July 16-21), the world's leading forum on dementia research.

During the workshop, the prototype of an SPM-BASED application to analyze FDG PET and rCBF/SPECT images on single cases has been presented to the clinical reference community as the DECIDE service for the early diagnosis of the Alzheimer. The workshop was by invitation only.

AIM

To present the prototype of an SPM-BASED application to analyze FDG PET/SPECT images on single cases. The prototype allows users to launch SPM from a browser and run it on a remote server. Users are not required to download SPM and purchase MatLab. A normative reference dataset of FDG PET scans from normal persons is built-in into the system.
